Bari - Vertical drop awning
The Bari drop screen is a uniquely perfect blend of a drop screen and a lateral arm awning. The Bari straddles the ground between providing the privacy and window-style protection of a drop screen and the overhead shelter of a more traditional lateral arm awning.
As with other RetractableAwnings.com, the Bari has a vertical frame. Smooth guide tracks – made from lightweight yet durable aluminum – keep the drop screen in line.
The Bari has an additional bar across the center of the screen. This keeps the top part of the Bari screen in place. The center profile bar also works as a pivot for the awning-style section of the Bari to extend away from the frame. The awning section can raise or lower to any point along the guides and can extend as far as 20 inches.Combined with mesh-style fabrics like Solis Air, the Bari sheds a translucent, diffuse light. Soltis Air fabrics are lightly pin-pricked, so they provide sun protection, but you can still see through them. This creates an airy effect. The Bari can also be covered in more standard solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, which create a more opaque, heavily-colored tone.
The style and shale of the Bari drop screen make it an effective protection system for heavy rains as well as sunight, UV, glare, and heat. Drop screens are also effective for many air-born allergens, like insects, pollen, dust, and leaves.
