Brescia - Vertical drop awning
The Brescia is built on air. The idea is protection – protection from the sun, rain, and airborne irritants like pollen and dust. The Brescia brings that protection when it's needed and silently disappears when you need the view.
The Brescia's top bar is fairly thick and distinctively rounded, almost like an egg cut in half. When the Brescia is completely drawn, the fabric is entirely hidden in the top bar. The lower bar is a slender, round profile. The top and bottom bars, the frame of the drop screen, are manufactured of lightweight aluminum, completely rut proof and electrostatically powder-coated for long-lived color.
The sides of the Brescia are exceptionally thin (4mm) steel rods. These guides help the drop screen glide smoothly along with no jittering or wasted motion. The thin sides give a near-perfectly unobstructed view and integrate seamlessly with any surrounding architecture.
The Brescia drop down awning boasts six complete lines of mesh fabrics. Particularly in lighter shades like white, ivory, and champagne, these lightly perforated fabrics have a bright, translucent effect, called light filtering. The exterior view is still somewhat visible through them. For additional privacy or for better protection from airborne allergens like pollen and dust, the Brescia drop screen can also use opaque solution-dyed acrylic fabrics. These woven fabrics are lightweight and breathable, while blocking much more light and wind than the mesh-style fabrics.
