Parma - Vertical drop awning
The Parma drop-down vertical awning has a singular look that quietly emulates a giant picture window. Flat side panels (which can be inside or outside mounted) and the headerbox have a more substantial appearance.
The Parma is shaped almost like a traditional window or door. Other drop-screen awnings like the Calabria or Brescia use slender side profile guides for the profile bar to go up and down, and these side guides are affixed to the wall. With the Parma drop screen, the side guides are encased in a flat track, almost like a picture frame. The sides are connected to a bottom rail, which is screwed into the floor. Having both bottom and top rails and differently-styles side tracks give the Parma a look closer to traditional construction, with the easy use and mobility of retractable awnings. The frame itself is made of powder-coated aluminum, lightweight and easy to install.German TÜV Product Approved
The Parma stylistically echoes traditional elements like windows, but it's function is pure drop-down awning. Brilliantly translucent mesh fabrics like Soltis Air let people see through the screens, so the covered area still feels like it's in the open out of doors. Opaque solution-dyed acrylic fabrics can be used for even stronger UV and sun protection and enhanced privacy. The rounded top rail is a full cassette that conceals the roller tube whether the drop-down awning is up or down.
The Parma drop-down awning is perfect for outdoor areas like patios or pavilions. The four-sided frame is exceptionally strong for outdoor applications (including marine areas and trailers).
The Parma can be manual, with a detachable crank, or motorized. Motorized accessories like remote controls, timers, and wind, rain, or sun sensors are available with the Parma.
