1) Fix the brackets on the wall and throught
the studs using proper hardware, making sure
they are perfectly aligned and leveled. Use
ALL the brackets supplied, the quantity of which
is determined by the width of the Grande awning.
Distances of brackets will be determined by
the CENTER of the studs.
|
 |
2) Insert and secure the square support bar
into the brackets previously installed.
|
|
3) Insert the single arm brackets at about 8"
from the edges of the square support bars, and
after having tightened slightly the 4 fixing
bolts, install the arms with the provided bolts.
If your particular
awning has more than 2 arms the other arms have
to be placed accordingly so that they do not
interfere with (hit) each other when in the
retracted (closed) position. |
 |
4) Insert the top square support bar on the
desired side of operation and roller tube support
with gear already mounted onto it. In case of
a motorized awning, insert the roller tube support
bracket with the motor bracket installed onto
it.
|
 |
5) Insert the side of the roller tube with the
square pin end cap or the motor into the gear
or the motor bracket onto the roller tube support
previously installed.
|
 |
6) In case the width of the awning requires
the use of more intermediate supports, insert
them from the other side of the tube and position
them onto the top square support bar in correspondence
of a
fabric seam. |
 |
7) Insert the other roller tube support onto
the other side of the awning, and secure it
with the provided set screws.
|
 |
8) Pushing back the folded arms still held closed
by the safety straps, roll out a little the
front bar, so that it will reach the farm front
bar attachment. When done in doing so, secure
the arms to the front bar tightening the bolts
of the arm attachment to the sliders inside
the front bar. Once you have determined that
the arms are securely tightened to the front
bar you can cautiously remove the arms safety
straps.
|
 |
|
9) You can now roll out the awning all the way,
and proceed in adjusting the front bar attachment
to the arms if necessary |
 |
|
10) Adjust the
inclination (pitch) of the awning following
this procedure:
a)
Loosen the nuts that fix the arms to the arm
brackets.
b)
Turn the screws that adjust the pitch of
the arms, remembering that rotating it clockwise,
the arm lowers and vice versa.
c)
Make sure the front bar is perfectly level
after obtaining the desired position.
d)
Lock in position the nuts that fix the arms
to their brackets which had been previously
loosened.
11) Close the awning and check
that the arm elbows are aligned and at the
same distance from the roller tube. In case
they are not, you will need to loosen the
four bolts that secure the arm brackets to
the square support bar and follow this procedure:
a)
Arm elbow too low: loosen the set screw
placed to the opposite side of the arm in
the upper part of the arm bracket, and tighten
the other on the same side of the arm. Doing
so, will move up the arm elbow.
b)
Arm elbow too high: loosen the set screw
placed on the same side of the arm in the
upper part of the arm bracket, and tighten
the other on the opposite side of the arm.
Doing so, will move down the arm elbow.
12)
After this adjustment, tighten securely once
again the four bolts that secure the arm brackets
to the square support bar. The awning should
now be operational.
