1)
Set up the awning as shown. Measure
the width between the center of slot of each
bracket. This will determine the location of
the pilot holes for the mounting hardware.
2)
Drill 2 pilot holes for each
bracket. Make sure holes are level and equal
distance of the above measurement.
3)
Using a 3/8” lag bolt, mount
the bracket with the gear attached to the wall
first. Making sure the bracket is level, tighten
both bolts securely. If motorized, mount opposite
bracket first.
4)
With the fabric and front bar
attached, insert one end of the roller tube
onto the bracket previously mounted. Be sure
fabric is hanging off front part of roller.
5)
Attach second bracket to end
of roller tube. Align with pilot holes, and
secure with lag bolts. Tighten all bolts securely.
6)
Attach arms to front bar. To
do this, remove front bar end cap. Insert slider
into rectangular channel and position it 1”-2”
in from the end of the front bar. Align holes
in slider with holes in front arm attachment.
Secure with the 10mm bolts provided.
7)
Roll fabric all the way up until
the front bar is positioned just under the roller.
8)
Remove the arm cable from the
slot on the arm bracket to allow the bracket
to swivel freely. Mount each arm to the wall
using 5/16” lag bolts.
9)
Roll out fabric until the arms
are positioned at about 120 degrees. Reattach
the cable to the arm bracket.
10)
Test the unit by raising and
lowering it a few times to make sure it operates
properly.
