The
Retractableawnings.com backup manual override
option allows peace of mind for all our lateral
arm retractable awnings, side arm awnings
or vertical drop retractable systems. This
ensures that the awning will be easily retracted
(closed) in case of power outage prior to
or during high winds in the area. The backup
manual override is actually a different motor
than the standard motor and has gears which
that allow you to bypass the motor and manually
close the awning via a hand crank.
The
backup manual override is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
If it is NOT purchased and there is a loss
of electrical power at the location of the
awning, you will have no way to retract (close)
the awning in case of high winds. Agreement
with our disclaimer is required if the backup
manual override is not purchased.
