Our patio cover series is a kaleidoscope of casual elegance, and the Modena has a special place. Its curved top is unique for patio covers. It has a classic look with straight posts, but, optionally, the Modena can have angled posts to give it an extra sense of motion, of leaning forward into the future. The arched top softens the harsh edges of modern architectural styles, while its simplicity, smooth lines, and near-invisible ground mount help it blend with any type of landscaping or deck.

As any mid-century designer can attest, the best parts of design are the parts you barely notice – the details that make something function as naturally as air. The Modena is designed for more than beauty; it has the details that make it a pleasure to use.

The arched design of the Modena gives unparalleled protection from heavy rain (even hail). Its curved shape provides adequate runoff to prevent pooling without adjusting the pitch an inch. But the Modena has a few extra details that make it respond to water and weather even better, including an invisible gutter and downspouts that siphon runoff away without a drip for the classic, straight-post style. Its sturdy frame is tested for heavy winds, so it offers ideal protection in sun or storms.

The Modena is a fully-retractable patio cover, with a custom-specified curved top track to move the awning fabric smoothly and tightly along the curve of the frame, without draping or gapping.

And if you need size, you can have it. The Modena, as with our other patio covers, is modular. A single span (two posts) can be up to 16 feet, 4 inches wide, and the Modena can have up to three spans (six posts over 42 and a half feet) with a single motor and single piece of fabric. With its lightweight yet commercial-grade aluminum frame, the Modena is easy as apple pie to install.
