Monza PLUS Attached Retractable Patio Cover System

The Monza Plus has the same nature-inspired grace as the Monza with little details that make it even easier to use: integrated gutters and down spouts, adjustable posts for installation accuracy, and invisible joint connections. Its solid wood frame is rock-steady with a rich visual texture and it has a stylistic versatility that makes it a perfect fit for interior spaces as well as exterior.

The Monza Plus has the rich and vital texture of real, solid wood, with the best treatments for a long life:

• Pressure-treated and vacuum-treated Nordic pine to resist moth, mold, and disease
• Aluminum end caps for the beams and posts to prevent rot
• Translucent semi-gloss finish to emphasize the grain and color of the natural wood
• Powder-coated aluminum guides, front bar, and ribs, all in the same pigment for a unified and clean look
• Ribs that are incorporated into the awning fabric spans (55cm apart) for a smooth look that creates evenly-spaced drapes of fabric when closed
• Removable rib/fabric rolls for storage
• An optional hood to protect the fabric from UV damage and from precipitation gathering in the folds during inclement weather

The Monza Plus has a 160cm tall top beams and 140cmx160cm front beams, with the corrosion-resistant aluminum gutters integrated into the beams and posts themselves.

The tactile appeal of the wood and the simple symmetry of the design makes Monza Plus a lovely exterior structure. When it’s open, the Monza Plus has the feel of a gazebo or grapevine trellis, a combination of manmade order and natural openness. With the sliding doors, curtains, or top louvers, the Monza Plus has a much more private and contained feeling, a permanence akin to traditional construction. The Monza Plus can be added to an existing building to create a sunroom-like patio enclosure or it can be freestanding to create sitting or dining space.

Control the Light with Pescara Louvers

Every one of our retractable patio cover systems can use our completely unique Pescara louvers. The Pescara addition echoes a graceful, overlapping pattern or slender aluminum strips. The Pescara louvers not only block sunlight like overhead blinds; they also reflect light and can be positioned in different ways to control light intensity. They work with the patio cover fabric to scale the level of light and glare for ultimate protection.

Pescara louvers can be controlled by remote control. Their aluminum strips corrosion-resistant and stainless steel components resist both rust and discoloration or bleeding.

The Pescara louvers are adjustable but not retractable.

A Diverse Selection of Enclosures

Our patio cover series uses a permanent trellis framework to support the retractable awning fabric and to define the space. Because of the permanent frame, our patio covers can be enclosed to provide both privacy and protection.

There are three different types of enclosures that can be used with any of our patio covers, and any or all of them can be used at once:

• Installing vertical drop screens on the beams of the patio covers for retractable sun and glare control
• Using graceful side curtains, which can be retracted into hidden recess pockets in the patio cover, or front curtains to soften the profile of the frame
• Choosing sliding doors (two, three or four panels, with multiple slide directions to choose from) for the strongest sense of quiet, privacy, and seclusion – almost like permanent construction, but with an easy snap-in installation with patented Clic bayonet joints
