Ravenna - Retractable Patio Cover System
The architect-designed Ravenna has a split purlin that spans an angled support post for a totally unique crossed-T style. The support beams have an adjustable angle – anywhere from 90° square at the top to 90° flush on the ground. The Ravenna is modern chic with a twist.
From an Architect's Pen
The Ravenna has a style that is at once sleek and deceptively complicated. From a distance, the crossed-T style of the posts and beams looks mid-century rustic, echoing the soaring timber frames of Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired California lodges. Up close, the details start emerging, straight from an architect’s plans.
The architect-designed Ravenna has an oversized top bar and support posts that create an exaggerated T. The effect is emphasized by split purlins that cross the support posts. This design allows the Ravenna to have a hidden gutter and down spout. It also allows the Ravenna to have a unique, adjustable angle for the support posts. The posts can be a traditional straight-up-and-down, which means it is 90° square at the base. It can also tuck the support post in, so that the profile of the frame leans out at an angle contra to the pitch of the patio cover. Either way, the Ravenna has hidden ground brackets that lock the base and hidden joining components.
The Ravenna captures an openness and, simultaneously, a structured permanence much like a lanai, the outdoor rooms of coastal homes. The Ravenna is perfect for homes and for businesses and restaurants both, because of its distinctive profile still fits into the design of a building, like a natural wrap-around porch.
The Ravenna, as with our other retractable patio cover models, can have drainage from the front if there is sufficient pitch to the awning or the awning can be slightly angled to allow side drainage.
Control the Light with Pescara Louvers
Every one of our retractable patio cover systems can use our completely unique Pescara louvers. The Pescara addition echoes a graceful, overlapping pattern or slender aluminum strips. The Pescara louvers not only block sunlight like overhead blinds; they also reflect light and can be positioned in different ways to control light intensity. They work with the patio cover fabric to scale the level of light and glare for ultimate protection.
Pescara louvers can be controlled by remote control. Their aluminum strips corrosion-resistant and stainless steel components resist both rust and discoloration or bleeding.
The Pescara louvers are adjustable but not retractable.
