Verona - Patio cover system
The Verona patio cover is a unique style of protection system sometimes called a box awning. The Verona is similar to drop awnings like the Parma model because the cover is encased in a sturdy frame with guide rails to keep the patio cover extension in a fixed course.
Unlike drop awnings, the Verona is a traditional horizontal awning that provides excellent shade coverage. The Verona is designed to be installed on top of a pergola or trellis providing a natural and effective means for light and temperature control while still allowing open air spaces. The Verona can also be installed over traditional construction such as conservatories, glass ceilings, atriums, solariums and skylights to control interior light, ultraviolet rays, glare, and heat. The box awning frame of the Verona uses compact mounting hardware that make it simple to install over almost any kind of frame.
The roller tube for the Verona, rather than being fixed in place at the back of the frame, can glide along the guide rails as the front bar moves to extend or retract the fabric as a kind of cantilever to keep the fabric taut.
The Verona patio cover can be used singly or multiple panels can be connected together, with shared guide rails, to offer fine-grained shade control (an exceptional benefit for restaurants and locations with outdoor seating).
