Retractable
Awnings - Wind Sensor Option
The wind sensor for our retractable awnings
is a great option that provides protection
from strong winds. Wind speed is continuously
monitored. Your retractable awnings from Retractableawnings.com
should not be open at all times (without
a awning wind sensor) and should only be extended
when in use. If you leave the residential
or commercial structure for any period of
time then you MUST have a wind sensor if you
plan to leave the retractable awnings open.
The awning wind sensor from Retractableawnings.com
is designed and manufactured in Europe to
allow the retractable awnings to retract AUTOMATICALLY
when the wind reaches a specific speed in
miles per hour (m.p.h.) The m.p.h.
is adjustable by the consumer anywhere between
5 and 31 m.p.h. via push buttons and LEDs.
The customer has 2 options in reference to
having the retractable awnings open after
it has been closed (retracted) by
the wind. Either option can be used, but only
one option at a time........

Option
A: the customer can press the button
on the remote control to have the retractable
awnings open (extend) OR
Option B: the customer can
set the dip switch inside the wind sensor
box to allow the retractable awnings to AUTOMATICALLY
open (extend) after 12 minutes assuming
the wind has decreased to a m.p.h. below that
at which you have set the sensor. This is
a great option for those that wish to leave
the awning open most of the time.
Standard retractable awning wind sensor features include a weatherproof box
which is 5"L x 3½"W x 2 ¼"H.
Low voltage operation by regular up-down switch
including toggle, rocker or Decora momentary
switches or remote control. This system comes
with a built in radio receiver. Retractable awning sensor transmitters
(remotes) are available in one, two, three
and four channels so multiple awnings can
be operated with one remote. |
