MATERIAL
USED FOR DYE CAST PARTS
Aluminum Alloy UNI 3601 (hardness = 100 HB)
Breakage point = 33kg/mmq, equal to 46,900lbs /
square inch
The shoulder part of the arm is produced in "ZAMAK"
(composed of iron, lead, antimony) which is a special
alloy that is 20% stronger than Aluminum UNI 3601.
This is to avoid breakages which could with other
awnings happen at this point, since most of the
load of the awning is supported by the arm's shoulder.
ARM
TO SHOULDER PIVOT PIN
Manufactured with a solid round 12 mm dia. (1/2”)
in Alloy 6082 T6, with hardness higher than 100
HB.
ASSEMBLY
SYSTEM
All die-cast parts are inserted into the extruded
profiles by pressure loads of over 440 lbs, and
at the same time glued together using a special
bi-component glue manufactured by 3M.
ELBOW
AND SHOULDER PIVOT PINS BUSHINGS
Manufactured in Acetalic Resin to avoid any oxidized
deposits or shavings normally present when using
bushings made of metal alloys.
KEVLAR
ARMS AND SPRINGS
The Elegante arms use an EXCLUSIVE opening system
which utilizes two heavy duty springs (30% more
powerful than those on competing models). The springs
are then connected to a special webbing belt manufactured
with High Tenacity Polyester and Kevlar, which is
the one placed on the elbow joint (tested for loads
of over 2,200 lbs and over 11,000 open/close cycles).
This is to avoid any type of corrosion, fraying and
breakage, which normally happens to exposed steel
cables and/or chains present on competitors arms.
In addition, the belt is then covered with a “hood”
which completely conceals the belt from sight. Although
this is primarily for aesthetic reasons, it also
avoids the belt coming in contact with the elements,
further increasing its lifespan and functionality.

Elegante arms
are TUV certified.
