Summary

Duties for the bookkeeping | clerical position:

• Payroll tax filing

• Sales tax filing

• Pay bills/invoices - Check writing and online. Varies by account

• Monitor office expenses and keep track of receipts

• Report any irregularities found to the owner

• Retractable awning order processing. We will show the candidate chosen for the position what to do

• Cut sheets for awnings we make here. We will show the candidate chosen for the position what to do

• Ordering fabric from the vendor. We will show the candidate chosen for the position what to do

• Bank deposits

• Payroll

• Updating printed and online price lists and adding new price lists. We will show the candidate chosen for the position what to do

• Credit card processing via Stripe

• Verify incoming ACH and wire transfers

• Overseas shipping from European vendors (paperwork). We will show the candidate chosen for the position what to do

• Stripe reconciliation

• Bank account reconciliation

• Post office, UPS, Fedex shipping completed online

• Retrieving phone messages from 2 phone lines

• Emailing or calling customers with order status

• Emailing customer shipping details and more using a pre-prepared set of emails

• Transition from manual accounting to Quickbooks or other accounting software

Requirements

The ideal bookkeeper should have the following qualifications and qualities:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or bookkeeping certification. Either is preferred but not required

• Must have familiarity with bookkeeping software, Word, Excel etc.

• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and timely

• Must be professional and discreet
